The Dakota County Sheriff’s Office is made up of a dedicated team of sworn deputies, non-sworn personnel, and administrative professionals who work together to serve and protect our community. Each member of our department plays an important role in ensuring public safety, supporting daily operations, and delivering responsive, professional service to the citizens of Dakota County.
Our sworn officers are responsible for law enforcement duties including patrol, investigations, and emergency response. Behind the scenes, our non-sworn and administrative staff provide critical support—handling communications, records, corrections operations, and the many functions that keep the office running efficiently.
Together, this team brings experience, integrity, and a strong commitment to service. We are proud to serve Dakota County and to build lasting relationships with the communities we protect.
