Dakota County Clerk
The County Clerk serves as the official record keeper for Dakota County government and plays a key role in supporting the County Board and other county functions.
Core Duties
The County Clerk is responsible for:
- Recording all proceedings of the County Board and attending all Board meetings
- Attending meetings of the County Board of Equalization, as required by Nebraska law
- Countersigning all warrants issued by the County Board after approval by the Board Chairman
- Maintaining records of all official bonds for county officers
- Reporting annually to the Secretary of State the names, signatures, and official seals of all county officials (submitted before February 1 each year)
Additional Responsibilities
The County Clerk may also perform other duties as required by state law.

Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
