Finger Print Services
The Dakota County Sheriff’s Office provides fingerprinting services for a variety of needs, including employment, licensing, background checks, and other official requirements.
Services Offered
We offer standard ink fingerprinting for:
- Employment background checks
- State licensing requirements
- Adoption and foster care applications
- Immigration purposes
- Personal record requests
Please note: We do not provide electronic (live scan) fingerprint submissions unless specifically noted.
Important Information
- Fingerprinting is conducted by trained staff in a secure environment
- Individuals must present valid identification at the time of service
- Incomplete or incorrect forms may delay processing
- Results are not processed or stored by the Sheriff’s Office; completed cards are returned to the individual

- Fingerprinting Fee: $10 per card
- Additional cards may require an additional fee
